About The Go Academy

Welcome to The Go Academy, a dedicated institution introducing children to the captivating world of Go. Our passionate full-time teachers provide a unique and immersive learning experience, focusing exclusively on teaching Go. With a modern approach, we make Go enjoyable, relevant, and engaging for today's children. Our talented and bilingual coaches ensure effective communication, allowing children to fully grasp the intellectual and emotional benefits of Go. Beyond the game, we nurture their growth and development. In 2016, we received official recognition from the China Weiqi Association, authorizing us to issue Amateur Dan Certificates, highlighting our commitment to excellence and fostering a thriving Go community.

Since our launch in 2014, The Go Academy has made significant strides. Notably, Mr. Heng Swee Keat, then Minister of Education, honored our inaugural event as the guest of honor, supporting our mission. We take pride in organizing the prestigious Singapore National Primary School Go Championship and having World Champion Mr. Chang Hao, Professional 9 Dan as the guest of honor in 2017. Having nurtured over 10,000 students, we offer comprehensive training at our centers, as well as in primary schools, secondary schools, and junior colleges nationwide. Our goal is to provide a national platform for learning, competing, networking, and fostering a genuine passion for Go among Singapore's students.
