Coach Bio

Kang Zhan Bin
Professional 6 Dan (Director / Head Coach)
He has won the “Mian Huai Cup” professional competition held in China in 1981. He is also the SEA GAMES Gold Medallist GO player in the year 2007 held in Thailand. Mr Kang has over 20 years of teaching experience in GO and has groom many top players in Singapore. He has taught in schools such as National University of Singapore, Hwa Chong High School, Raffles Girls School, Nanyang Primary School and Nanhua Primary and High School.

Shaun Jiang
Amateur 6 Dan (Assistant Head Coach)
Mr Shaun Jiang is a certified 6 dan player by the Singapore Weiqi Association and has a bachelor’s degree in GO from Myongji University, South Korea. He has been teaching GO since 2008, and has vast experience teaching beginners to dan players, grooming over 50 dan players.
Mr Shaun Jiang has won China’s Intercity Youth Championship multiple times, Champion in Xuzhou 2007 Open Championship, top 4 players in 2007 Korea Inter-University Competition, 2010 Korea Suwon Mayor’s Cup Team Champion, Champion in 2012 Singapore Jurong Green Cup and Champion in 2017 Singapore Whampoa Cup.

Daniel Chan
Amateur 4 Dan (Director / Coach)
Mr Daniel Chan has more than 8 years of teaching experience and has represented Singapore in several international competitions. He has taught in schools such as Nanyang Primary School, Nan Chiau Primary School, Maris Stella High School and Evergreen Primary School.

Malcus Poh
Amateur 4 Dan (Coach)
Mr Malcus was also part of the Singapore team which clinched bronze medal in the 2012 World Mind Sport Games held in France. He is a Law major graduate from University of Sheffield.

Cindy Lim
Amateur 3 Dan (Coach)
Ms Cindy Lim has taught in schools such as Hougang Primary School, Tampines Primary School and Raffles Institution.

Kok Mun Jun
Amateur 2 Dan (Coach)
Mr Kok was also the Go captain for Nanyang Polytechnic school team and has helped the school clinched Champion for 3 straight years in the Polytechnic-ITE Cup from 2009-2010 and Champion in SP Open in 2009. Mr Kok is a graduate from University of Western Australia and holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science.
